Today Bit Tech looked at the brand new MMORPG from NCSoft, City of Villains. They've spent some time playing the game through, and they have their comments on the overall experience.

The method NCSoft have used to pitch CoV is unique. Remember that this isn't just an expansion, it's a whole game in it's own right. Most MMOs will offer an expansion on the premise you have to own the original game, whereas with this you can buy either and update to the other at any time. Yes, obviously there are gains to be made from owning both, however no-one can say that City of Villains feels like a bolt on to City of Heroes."

"We found that the XFX 7800 GTX Extreme Edition was able to deliver the best gaming experience, with 151% world detail turned on, along with 4xAA 16xAF at 1280x1024. This gave us a good gaming experience in the main world, while the missions were very smooth. We saw some quite large differences in average frame rate on the two different GeForce 7800 GTX's, but we were having to control the stuttering and minimum frame rate more so than the average frame rate."
