Now many of you are probably thinking, "500GBs?? I'll never use that much." That might not entirely be true. I can remember a time when I was saying the exact same thing about how 20GBs would be enough to last me a lifetime. As it stands, I now have 700GBs in my system and continue to demand more as my needs increase. Suddenly, 500GBs or even 1TB seems much more realistic. Today, I plan to take a thorough look at Seagate's latest addition to their 7200.X lineup of hard disk drives to see how this drive compares to their 7200.7 SATA drive and to Hitachi's T7K250 SATA II hard drive. I was lucky enough to secure not one, but two 500GB 7200.9 drives to be able to put them through the paces in a RAID configuration as well. Let's start looking at these drives and see just how wonderful 1TB of space can be!
