Just made available in the retail channel of Singapore are two DVD camcorders from Canon, the DC10 and the DC20. With the release of these two new models, Canon is highly optimistic of capturing the initiative from its competitors and in the process, hopefully gain a strong foothold in a market segment that is packed with bigwigs such as Hitachi, Panasonic and Sony, all of whom are vastly more experienced than Canon in DVD camcorder arena. Nevertheless, by beating its competitors to be the brand to boast the smallest, slimmest, and most well-built DVD camcorders around, the momentum is certainly in Canon's favor as the company pursues a stronger brand establishment and in a bid to woe even more consumers with its products.
