If one thing is certain about the motherboard chipset market today, NVIDIA controls the high-end of the Athlon 64 market with their SLI platform. VIA, who used to own the market with the KT890 chipset, is all but out of the market for the hardware enthusiast. SIS is a name that used to dominate the Athlon market along with VIA, but today are barely a blip in the radar for the enthusiast. ATI has good chipsets with their Xpress 200 and CrossFire boards, but just don't have the product for multi-GPU solutions out for purchase in quantity..
