Samsung SyncMaster 914v Monitor Review

Posted on Tuesday, December 06 2005 @ 00:23:18 CET by LSDsmurf

And there sat the one thing I thought would be well beyond my means for years to come: A Samsung 19" flatscreen LCD monitor. SWEET JESUS HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I had had an old Gateway 17" CRT. I got a new computer for Christmas last year (looks like I'm on a roll - next year I think I'll ask for a million dollars, Liv Tyler and a plane ticket to Vegas) and the dinky old Gateway couldn't handle refresh rates higher than 60 Hz. This lead to a lot of choppiness in games like Counter Strike: Source and Battlefield 2 as my Radeon 9800 pumped out more information than the monitor could display. It was annoying but not infuriating. And the monitor was so huge that I had to pull my desk out almost a foot from the wall. But no more. This glorious bastard sits proud upon my now roomy desk beaming its 16.2 million colors brilliantly in my face. No more chop in anything..
