While it may be a step down from companies such as Kenwood or iRiver -who are renowned for their great sound quality- Philips has managed to make the HDD6330 sound pretty damn good. While there is some distortion while using high bass levels in the user customizable EQ (under Settings), the player manages to pump out stellar highs and powerful lows. The GoGear 30GB comes with SRS WOW technology built in, which is the selected EQ setting at almost all times (as it is on all my players with SRS WOW capabilities)..
