VIA’s mini ITX form factor has been a hit among case modding enthusiasts. The small footprint of mini ITX motherboards allows it to fit practically anywhere and in anything. Cars, R/C cars, cigar boxes, mini ITX boards have been placed in every place you can imagine. However that’s just the enthusiasts’ side of things and doesn’t paint the whole picture. Mini ITX boards have also found use in the serving environment as clusters, firewalls, and various other small appliances.
