The shiny Philips GoGear HDD1630 is a good case in point. With 6GB capacity, the GoGear sticks with a hard drive instead of the nano’s smaller, more durable flash memory. This produces a larger MP3 player, but the GoGear is still fairly little; it’s barely bigger than the 512MB iRiver U10. Compared with the previous generation 6GB iPod Mini, the GoGear is a bit shorter on top, and its rounded corners give it a sleek look.
