The SP-320 has the full complement of focus modes. The default mode is the iESP mode, which lets the camera select what to focus on. If you want more control, you can switch to Spot autofocus or Area auto focus. Spot fixes the focus point in the center of the frame and the Area autofocus lets you move the auto focus area around the frame.
