The G500's black-and-gray design is stylish and urbane, and its blue backlighting accents the perimeter and the controls for a streamlined look. But at 6.7 ounces and 4.7 by 2.4 by 0.9 inches, it's a lot to carry around and hold up to your ear when making a call. It's slightly larger and heavier than the Palm Treo 650 and nearly an ounce heavier and quite a bit thicker than the HP iPaq 6515 superphone.
