So why would someone buy a Slingbox? Because it allows users to watch their television from anywhere which has two things- a broadband internet connection and some form of Windows. This could be a computer on the other side or the room from your television, a computer at your place of work, or your Windows Mobile cell phone while you are taking the bus to work. To put it simply, the Slingbox is able to get a television signal and transfer it to your home's network. From the network it can be sent to any local computer or sent out to remote computers through the internet.
