Originally, the drive was in my "kick-around" Compaq computer and I used it mostly for burning LightScribe labels on DVDs and CDs that I had created with my Sony DW-DR22A on my main computer. However, since it has turn out to be my principal optical drive I have dogged the hell out of it and it has performed superbly. It will burn a 4.7GB DVD-R in about 15 minutes and a dual layer DVD in about 40 minutes or so. I have not actually timed a dual layer burn but I can start burning a movie, go make...
