If there's one symbol of automotive excess that has become a permanent part of our consumer lexicon, it's the Hummer line of vehicles. But just as new technologies filter down to the mainstream, the Hummer audience has expanded from adrenaline junkies to soccer moms, thanks to GM's more user-friendly H2 and H3 versions. It's no surprise that the Hummer brand name has been co-opted for a wide variety of products, from polo shirts to mountain bikes to, naturally, a semi-rugged line of laptops.
