However what topped all this off perfectly was the overclocking performance. Asus promised the Maximus IV Extreme-Z would deliver, and deliver it did. Whereas previously tested P67/Z68 motherboards have been able to push our Core i7-2600K processor to 4.7 – 4.8GHz, the Maximus IV Extreme-Z went straight to 5.2GHz like it was nothing.
