Canon has launched two new lenses with the EOS 650D/Rebel T4i DSLR - the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM and the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, priced at £229.99 (about $355) and £479.99 (about $740), respectively. The STM stands for Stepper Motor, and indicates that the lenses use a new type of focusing motor designed to give a smoother automatic focusing action.
