It was just a few years ago that the most extreme computers sucked the life out of 1000 or even 1500 watt power supplies. While a few of those PSUs are still around, we’ve noticed a shift in the power supply paradigm the last year or so where more money is spent designing greater efficiency and implementing better components versus stretching out the wattage.
