"Overclocking the AMD FX-8320E was one of the simplest overclocks I've ever performed. Feeling ambitious, I started by attempting to hit 5GHz with "safe" voltage around 1.55 volts. While the system would boot and be generally stable in Windows, heavy stress testing resulted in crashes and reboots. I started inching my way down towards stability, which arrived at 4.7GHz. I then dropped the voltage on the CPU down incrementally to 1.5 volts, testing stability at each drop in voltage. Temperatures at 4.7GHz and 1.5 volts were toasty at nearly 65 °C full load, but the system was 100% rock solid for all testing and a long run of both Intel Burn Test and Prime95 in small FFT mode. Gaming temperatures were much lower and the system never throttled due to overtemp. Granted, if you overclock the 8320E like this, you're throwing away that nice 95 watt TDP...is it worth it? I'd say yes, as you'll see on the next few pages! A full 1.5GHz over the base clock makes for a pretty peppy system!”
