Its clear Linux has proven itself as a server. But on the desktop, which includes the majority of computers, Windows is more prevalent. Linux isn’t commercially viable because it can not reach the desktop market like Microsoft can but if we look at the growth history of Linux, it is plain to see that it is consistently gaining ground on Microsoft, both in Server and Desktop areas.
