We've been playing around with Nvidia's Forceware 56.56 drivers for the past few days and have written up our thoughts on the new features that it has included as well as changes to the user interface. Due to a hiccup with the UT2k4 demo, the drivers will be held off the Nvidia site for a couple weeks but will be shipping with new cards and has also been released to system integrations and OEMs.

"One of the major features targeted at gamers is the inclusion of application specific profiles for games. What this allows is a different set of parameters to be launched with each particular game. For example, a user may want to play Call of Duty with 4x AA and 8x AF but would not want to do the same with Halo because AA / AF does not work properly with it. Instead of having to change the settings between gaming sessions, it is possible to specify settings for each particular game so that changes are launched automatically."
