OCCT is a free CPU/memory stability test.

FEATURES

  • Windows Vista support
  • The memory requirements per core have been lowered
  • Much more efficient testing algorithm
  • Monitoring : 4 sensors for CPU Temperature and 4 custom sensors
  • Graphs are now generated in case of test error, CPU overheat, or user abort
  • Hardware detection algorithm updated : Quad-core support, and much more !

MONITORING

  • All sensors are automatically selected with everest, when they are available
  • A very rare bug has been fixed when loading sensor values ( a.k.a lombric-bug)
  • Compatible with Everest's latest versions
  • Everest is automatically minimized to tray when launched by OCCT
  • Better everest support for the .zip version

HARDWARE DETECTION

  • Conroes are now properly detected as... conroes ;)

INTERFACE

  • Modular window : when a sensor line is empty, it'll disappear.
  • New option window : tabs, and new monitoring options
  • New option : "Hyperthreading as Dual Core". if checked, Hyperthreading CPUs will be treated as Dual-cores by OCCT
  • New option : "Max CPu temp". OCCT will stop if the CPU temperatures goes beyond that threshold !
  • Custom test duration is now displayed in OCCT's main window
  • In case of error, the "OFF" button will keep blinking until the mouse moves on the main window

TEST

  • Custom test is now 1 hour by default

BUGFIXES

  • Old values are now correctly reapplied when you quit the option window by using the cross
  • The Motherboard name is now always detected (especially under Vista)
  • OCCT can now run on really old CPUs (like K6-3) ==> underground78 bug
  • A bug preventing sensor values to be loaded is now fixed
  • If you do have more than 2GB of free memory, OCCT won't report a negative free memory value
  • CPU frequency was measured twice during OCCT's startup : OCCT is much faster to start up !
  • OCCT won't crash anymore if the FSB value is unknown

TRADUCTION

  • Italian support (very basic)

VISTA

  • Windows Vista support
  • Frequency detection will only work as an administrator (Current CPU frequency will always be detected)
