QT Lite replaces a pack called QuickTime Alternative which is now no longer being updated. The current version of QT Lite is superior to the last version of QuickTime Alternative.

QT Lite is a trimmed down version of QuickTime that contains only the essential components needed for playing QuickTime content that is embedded in webpages.
