EMDB 0.57

Posted on Thursday, December 06 2007 @ 14:02:03 CET by

EMDB is a small utility to keep track of your DVD collection. With an automatic import from the database of IMDB, export to csv, text or complete website, thumbnail cover preview, a loan tracker, search function and multi-language user interface. EMDB is written in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and doesn't need a .NET framework or any other external libraries. And best of all... it's free!

  • Development environment: Moved to Visual Studio 2008 / MFC 9.0.

  • Internet access: Fixed crash when the internet is being accessed (check for updates / retrieve data from IMDB) without being online.

  • Backup: Fixed cover thumbnails were not copied during manual backup.

  • Search: Added global text search (searches in titles, actors, directors and descriptions).

  • Search: previous search text for titles and global search are now remembered.

  • Search: Last used tab in Search dialog is now remembered.

  • Movie Properties: Removed DivX/XviD from the possible Media as they are no media.

  • Loan Tracking: When returning a movie, the next one loaned by that person is now selected.

  • IMDB import: Fixed distortion in the multiple result overview due to changes in the imdb web layout.
