NewsLeecher is a tool made for fetching and managing articles from the Usenet. It downloads Usenet articles in a snap, and uses it's inline engine to assemble and decode all the downloads. The powerful featureset and state-of-the-art user interface makes it an application "you simply can't live without" if you are a serious Usenet user.
Beta 14 automatically converts the groups article caches to a format which is compatible with threaded article viewing (something which will be used in the NewsLeecher v4 series). When you load a groups cache - the group articles - for the first time in beta 14, you will notice that it's pretty slow compared to what is usually is, due to the conversion. But it's only the first time the caches are loaded that there will be a slowdown. Following cache loads will be as fast as usual.
