Image for Windows 2.50
Posted on Thursday, September 24 2009 @ 19:11 CEST by Thomas De MaesschalckImage for Windows (IFW) is a Win32-based drive image backup and restore utility that creates or restores a snapshot of an entire partition or volume. The backups can be saved to a set of files on a local or network drive, or directly to most CD or DVD drives (which will create a bootable restore disc). If something should ever happen to that partition or volume, you will be able to simply restore the snapshot image.
Changelog:
- Added 64bit LBA and GPT support (note: GPT support doesn't imply EFI support).
- Updated PHYLock for 64bit LBA support (2.50 requires new version).
- MakeDisk provides FAT32 support for UFD drives larger than 4GiB.
- PHYLock memory option changed to slider and defaults to lesser value to reduce memory requirements required by 64bit LBA.
- Added /ubp (UpdateBootPart) option to restores and copies which have separate boot and system partitions (same target drive only)
- Fixed possible problem when copying individual partitions on the same physical drive.
- Added Port, User Name, Password support to email option.
- Changed CDBOOT.INS to be CDBOOT.IFD with options to choose IFD, IFL or Custom instruction file for direct burned CD/DVD/BD. Install will also automatically overwrite cdboot.f35 and cdboot.ifd each time. Custom boot images should use CDBOOT.INS and point to something other than a file named CDBOOT.F35
- Other Misc.
