SoftPerfect Network Scanner is a free multi-threaded IP, NetBIOS and SNMP scanner with a modern interface and several advanced features. It is intended for both system administrators and general users interested in computer security. The program pings computers, scans for listening TCP ports and displays which types of resources are shared on the network (including system and hidden).

  • Added assigning friendly names to MAC addresses in the WOL manager.
  • Added parsing colon-separated MAC addresses in addition to dash-separated.
  • Added hibernate and suspend commands in addition to power off.
  • Dead hosts and those gone off-line are drawn in gray for better readability.
  • Added option to leave host information shown when it goes off-line.
  • MAC address is now discovered and shown prior to other slower lookups.
  • Faster termination of live display threads on rescan and shutting the application down.
  • Filtered resultsets can now be saved excluding items not shown.
  • Windows 95, 98, ME and NT are no longer officially supported.
