Sylpheed is a simple, lightweight but featureful, and easy-to-use e-mail client.
Sylpheed provides intuitive user-interface. Sylpheed is also designed for keyboard-oriented operation, so Sylpheed can be widely used from beginners to power users.
Sylpheed runs on many systems such as Windows, Linux, BSD, Mac OS X and other Unix-like systems.
* New features
o On POP3 receiving, new messages are displayed on the summary view immediately. Folder switching is not required anymore.
o The feature to combine partial messages (RFC 2046, message/partial) was added.
o Users can move up/collapse/expand the folder view using left/right arrow key now.
* Other improvements/changes
o When inline image setting is off, images are not displayed in the Attachment tab too.
o When a connection to IMAP/News server fails, an error dialog will be displayed now.
o The menu items 'Mark/Mark' and 'Mark/Unmark' were changed to 'Mark/Set flag' and 'Mark/Unset flag' for understandability.
o The upper limit of auto-check interval was changed to 1000 minutes.
o The new plug-in APIs for user-agent string and the summary view were added.
o The source files of the English FAQ and manual were added.
o The hidden filter condition works now.
o Fixed-positioned windows (such as main window, compose window, etc.) are always displayed on screen now. This prevents windows displayed outside of screen between multi and single monitor switching.
o The crash when POP3 session was cancelled while processing received mail was fixed.
o Win32: included libpng library was updated to 1.2.44 (security fix).
o Win32: included libtiff library was updated to 3.9.4.
