Really, there is nothing new in it. The major changes affect the internal design, but nearly nothing is visible outside. However, there are some features you may find useful.
- Limited Windows LDM (Dynamic Disks) support. If LDM records themselves are correct, you can run ZAR to recover data off the RAID/spanned volumes.
- Built-in validation of certain file types.
- Digital image recovery similar to that of current stand-alone Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery tool. The reason behind this integration is that we would need some heavyweight features of the ZAR engine in the near future, and it seems efficient to combine both tools.
