UPDATE: AMD's Terry Makedon contradicts the earlier news and announces a fix is on the way.

Last month, AMD's yearly driver feature update arrived in the form of the Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition. One thing that flew a bit under the radar is that this new release has piss poor support for older but still popular gaming titles that use DirectX 9.

Gamers who enjoy playing a couple of rounds of classics like Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Red Alert 3, The Battle for Middle Earth 1 & 2, and The Witcher Enhanced Edition noticed these titles are very buggy with the new Adrenalin drivers from AMD.

Over at the AMD community boards, AMD employee ray_m points out these issues are unlikely to get a fix as these old games are no longer worthy of support:
This title is from 2007, so we are unlikely to devote any valuable engineering resources to this issue, which is most likely caused by outdated API modules.
A full list of games that are having issues with Adrenalin Edition can be found at Reddit. That page also offers some workarounds like rolling back to an earlier driver release;
