NVIDIA nForce 680i great for overclockers

Posted on Friday, November 03 2006 @ 01:30:10 CET by

It's said the upcoming nForce 680i based motherboards will be great for overclockers:
They should be the fastest for both memory and CPU overclocking and the boards should emerge in the following days. We know these will end up faster than both Intel's high-end chipset 975X and the P965 although we know it will have a rough ride to beat RD600 from DAAMIT. It supports three PCIe slots, two for graphic cards and one for physics, I guess they saw this one from ATI. We know that the memory can hit 1200MHz if not even higher.
The chipset will be released next week together with the GeForce 8800 on November 8.
