Microsoft today released the Live Video Marketplace for its Xbox 360 console. From now on you can download movies and TV shows trough your Xbox 360.

Here's the pricing scheme:
    New releases:
  • 720p HD movies - 480 MS Points / $6
  • 480p SD movies - 320 MS Points / $4

    Older movies:
  • 720p HD movies - 360 MS Points / $4.5
  • 480p SD movies - 240 MS Points $3

    TV Shows:
  • 720p HD television - 240 MS Points / $3
  • 480p SD television - 160 MS Points / $2
At the moment users can already download 48 movies and 50 TV shows.

I have my doubts about this service, just like with many other services the pricing is too expensive. $6 to watch a HD movie is pretty expensive, and why bother paying $3 for a HD TV show when you can see it for free on a TV channel?
