Details about AMD's quad-core Opteron lineup have been leaked:
The site says upcoming Socket F quad-core Opterons will be split into three categories: low-power Opteron HE models clocked at 1.9GHz and 2.0GHz with a 68W power rating; vanilla Opteron models clocked at 2.1GHz, 2.2GHz, and 2.3GHz with a 95W TDP; and high-power models running at 2.4GHz and 2.5GHz with a 120W TDP. All chips will have 2MB of shared L3 cache, 512KB of L2 cache per core, and support for DDR2-667 memory.

The vanilla and SE models will also have counterparts in the Opteron 1000 series. Those chips will have the same clock speeds and power ratings as the Socket F versions, but they will slip into Socket AM2 motherboards and have support for DDR2 memory speeds of up to 800MHz. HKEPC says quad-core Opteron 1000 chips will come out in the third quarter of next year.
