Super Talent announced general availability of 2 Gigabyte 667MHz DDR2 ECC Registered DIMMs (RDIMMs) and 2 Gigabyte 667MHz DDR2 Fully Buffered DIMMs (FB-DIMMs).

Super Talent designed the S2GTR4BMx RDIMM for maximum memory speed and density in Next-Generation AMD Opteron based servers. This module has been qualified fully loaded (32GB installed) in Supermicro’s newest “8-way” Quad Dual-Core Opteron server boards including the H8QC8.

The S2GTF4EMS FB-DIMM was developed specifically to support the latest Intel Xeon based server platforms. FB-DIMM technology offers unprecedented performance, scalability, and density in the server memory subsystem. See more details on FB-DIMMs here, http://www.supertalent.com/tools/FBoverview.php . As an active member of JEDEC, Super Talent helps define FB-DIMM and other memory standards. Super Talent has already shipped in excess of 10,000 FB-DIMMs since the new standard emerged several months ago. Super Talent’s FB-DIMM product family now includes 512MB, 1GB and 2GB densities.

Super Talent’s 2GB 667MHz FB-DIMM has passed qualifications at CMTL, the memory industry’s leading independent compatibility test lab. Scott Fisher of CMTL commented, “The Super Talent S2GTF4EMS modules passed our intensive memory tests with flying colors. These modules are among the first 2GB 667MHz FB-DIMMs to earn CMTL certification on the new Intel S5000PSL and S5000XVN server boards.”

Both these products are manufactured in Super Talent’s state-of-the-art San Jose, California factory, and are backed with a lifetime warranty. Super Talent stress tests every single DRAM module they build in a motherboard to ensure one of the highest reliability rates in the industry. Both products are shipping now directly to OEM customers and through Super Talent distributors worldwide.
