DirectX 10 Benchmarking - Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

Posted on Tuesday, May 15 2007 @ 21:30:57 CEST by

Later today Capcom will be releasing its Lost Planet: Extreme Condition DirectX 10 demo for the PC. The demo also contains what will be the first public DirectX 10 performance test. The test is an in-engine run-through of two levels of the game, complete with enemies, explosions and 3D meshes. Read on to see how the ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT does against the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX as we show you the numbers before the benchmark is made public!

Quote: "Yesterday we showed that ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT video card had image quality issues on Call of Juarez and today we find out that ATI has many driver issues on Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Both of these PC game titles are DirectX 10, which is what people have been waiting many months to come out. Now the benchmarks and demos are finally available it's obvious that ATI still has a way to go on their drivers..."

Check it out at Legit Reviews. The results are quite bad for ATI, the performance isn't as good as NVIDIA's cards and there are also some image quality problems.
