DigiTimes heard Intel is planning to release a Menlow refresh platform for MIDs in March 2009, with chips that should offer better performance. Intel's Menlow platform will be succeeded by Moorestown, but that platform may not arrive until 2010.
In addition to the current Intel Atom Z500 series CPUs, Intel will add more members into the family including the Z550 (with frequencies higher than 1.83GHz), the Z534 (clocked higher than 1.6GHz) and the Z515 (clocked higher than 800MHz).

The Z550 and Z534 will both be paired with the Intel SCH UP15W chipset, while the Z515 will be paired with the UL11L chipset.
