Cooler Master has released a LGA1366 retention bracket for its V8, Hyper Z600 series, Hyper 212 and Geminii S processor coolers.
Cooler Master introduces the Intel Core i7 Socket LGA 1366 retention bracket which is compatible with a wide range of coolers that includes: V8, Hyper Z600 series, Hyper 212 and Geminii S. For some of these models, the retention bracket will eventually be included in the retail pack; making these coolers fully supporting all current sockets on the market: Intel LGA 775, LGA 1366 and AMD Socket 940/AM2/AM2+ compatible.
The backplate is conveniently designed so that it installs on top of Intel's stock LGA1366 backplate, hence reducing the risk of damaging the socket during installation on X58 chipset motherboards.
