VR Zone found references in a new GeForce driver from NVIDIA that unveil the new naming scheme the GPU maker has cooked up.

Several G92, G94, G96 and G98 chips will get a naming similar to the GeForce GTX 200 series (GT200). For desktop computers NVIDIA will roll out the GeForce GTX 150 (G92), GeForce GT 130 (G94), GeForce GT 120 (G96) and GeForce G100 (G98).

It's unknown if these chips will be better than their predecessors, but it seems the GeForce 9800 series will live on as the GeForce GTX 150, GeForce 9600 will be known as GeForce GT 130, GeForce 9500 as GeForce GT 120 and so on. To make it even more consuming, most of these chips were already rebadged GeForce 8000 series (G8x) parts.

For notebooks NVIDIA will have the GeForce GTX 180M (G92), GeForce GTX 170M (G92), GeForce GTX 160M (G94), GeForce G 110M (G96), GeForce GT 130M (G96) and GeForce G 105M (G98)
