Samsung starts production of 7th generation LCD panels

Glkass firm Corning said it has started delivering generation seven TFT glass substrates to Samsung, the mighty Korean chaebol.

The sheets will be used for making displays for LCD TVs, notebooks and monitors, and Corning said Samsung is already churning panels out at a joint venture fab in Cheonan, Korea.
