ATI to go to 80nm before 65nm

The Inq heard that ATI will soon shift to 90nm chips. The first chips made on the 90nm process will be the R520, and later the RV530 and RV515.

After 90nm ATI will not go directly to 65nm, instead they will first take a step to 80nm.
It usually takes about two years to shift a manufacturing process so it will definitely takes a lot of time until we see 80 or 65 nanometre graphic chips. We see 80 nanometre as a sub step, just like ATI shrank its chips from 130 first to 110 nanometre and now it is ready to go to 90 nanometre.
