To celebrate the 21th anniversary of the Pentium processor, Intel is working on a Pentium Anniversary Edition that will feature unlocked multipliers. Not a lot of detail were revealed but we heard that the chip can only be overclocked if you have a Z87 or Z97 motherboard.
Intel also announced plans for an IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® processor Anniversary Edition commemorating more than 20 years of the Pentium brand, featuring unlocked multipliers that allow the ability to increase the core and memory frequencies independently from the rest of the system.
