Alienware is cooking up a new relatively thin and light-weight gaming laptop. The Alienware 13 is expected to arrive in November, it will weigh 4.5 pounds (2.04kg) and will be largely user-configurable.

By default the screen has a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution but options include an upgrade to a 1920 x 1080 or even 2560 x 1440 pixels screen with touch support. The system launches with ultra-low-voltage Intel Haswell processors but will eventually be available with the next-gen Broadwell CPUs. The default graphics card is the GeForce GTX 860M and you have the choice between a SSD or a traditional HDD.

Pricing and availability is unknown.
