Cooler Master provided an update about which of its coolers provide out-of-the-box compatibility with AMD's new Ryzen Threadripper processors. As mentioned in earlier posts about Threadripper, this new HEDT has a huge integrated heatspreader (IHS) as well as a very high TDP. Not a lot of current processor coolers are compatible with Threadripper, I posted a
Threadripper cooler compatibility list last week but now there's an update from Cooler Master.
The company says Threadripper owners will need to use the RL-TR4B-MLLS-R1 mounting kit to make current all-in-one liquid cooling kits compatible with the new AMD HEDT processor. It's unknown if this kit will be offered for free, or how much it will cost.
The following two AiO kits from Cooler Master are compatible with Threadripper:
MasterLiquid 120
MasterLiquid 240
These four models will become compatible soon:
MasterLiquid Lite 120
MasterLiquid Lite 240
MasterLiquid ML120L RGB
MasterLiquid ML240L RGB
