Word is going around that AMD has increased the pricing of its Radeon RX Vega 64. The base model of the Radeon RX Vega 64 was supposed to be available later this month for $499 but four independent sources claim that the actual retail price will be similar to the price of the Radeon RX Vega 64 Limited Edition.

This means it will be hard to find Radeon RX Vega 64 video cards for less than $599, at the moment there's no sign among distributors of the $499 Radeon RX Vega 64 cards. It seems cryptocurrency mining is once again to blame. Earlier this month, there was a rumor about Vega having insane Ethereum mining performance. That would explain why the cards are getting more expensive.
