Prototype revealed of 480Hz computer display

Remember that time when people said 60Hz was more than enough for LCD displays? Then the 120Hz and 240Hz panels hit the market and now there's new display technology on the horizon that will enable panels with a refresh rate of 480Hz!

Blur Busters had the chance to test a prototype and reports it offers noticeable improvements:

The verdict? While 480 Hz refresh rates do offer a visible difference in step distances and blur reduction, things can be improved further. But we're talking about a refresh rate where most high-end monitors typically achieve 144 Hz - so 480 Hz is a totally different beast.
