This summer, Oculus had a $399 promotion for the Rift headset plus the Touch controllers and now the company is making the price cut permanent. The summer sale was a huge success, it resulted in a lot of extra sales, although Oculus parent Facebook refuses to mention just how many sales they got.

The pricing of the Oculus bundle dropped considerably over the past ten months. At the start of the year, you had to shelve out $799 for this bundle. A price cut to $598 was launched in March but many gamers still found that level too high.
