Yesterday there was word about a new GP106-350 GPU from NVIDIA. This new GeForce GTX 1060 variant has the full 1280 CUDA core count but has a smaller memory bus and 5GB GDDR5 memory.

Now VideoCardz scored some details about the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 5GB Windforce OC. Apparently, this card is identical to the GTX 1060 6GB WindForce OC, the only change is the smaller bus width and lower memory capacity.
Gigabyte has confirmed that the clock speeds for this card as 1582/1797 MHz in OC mode and 1556/1771 MHz in Gaming mode, so yes, exactly the same as 1060 6GB variant.

The memory clock speed is also confirmed at 8008 MHz, which in combination with 160-bit bus width gives us 160 GB/s bandwidth, 32 GB/s less than 192b/6GB variant
As was reported yesterday, this model is primarily intended for Internet cafes. It provides some extra Full HD gaming performance for popular MMOs versus the cheaper 3GB variant.
