With the upcoming arrival of the second-generation AMD Ryzen processors, motherboard makers are seen lowering prices of X370 motherboards.

Inventory needs to be cleared to make room for the X470 lineup but it looks like the price drops haven't seeped through the retail channel yet.

Dutch tech site Hardware.Info heard that Gigabyte reduced the MSRP of its AX370 Gaming 5 to 144.95EUR, which is a price drop of nearly 55EUR.

AMD's new Ryzen 2000 series processors and the X470 motherboards are expected in April. There will be backwards compatibility with 300-series motherboards, after a BIOS update.
