Before it was edited, a job listing on Intel's website revealed the chip giant is looking for a Senior CPU Microarchitect to work on the company's next generation core design in Hillsboro, Oregon. Intel reveals this new architecture is codenamed Ocean Cove.

Motley Fool chip analyst Ashraf Eassa reveals the Ocean Cove core will come after the core inside of Alder Lake. If you haven't heard about Alder Lake yet, it's reportedly a 7nm microarchitecture that will succeed Tiger Lake. Alder Lake is rumored to be on the 2021 roadmap so the first product with the brand-new Ocean Cove cores isn't to be expected until 2022 or later.

Ocean Cove is intended to be the biggest change since the introduction of the Core series in 2006.
