Intel may retire the Extreme Edition brand

Former Intel principal engineer François Piednoël reports on Twitter that the chip giant is about to kill the Extreme Edition naming. Piednoël was one of the driving forces behind these ultra-high-end desktop products, so no doubt he's sad to see the retirement of his brainchild. Piednoël left Intel in 2017 after a decades-long career.
