AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 cut to $279.99 to fend off GeForce GTX 1660 Ti?

Retailers have lowered the pricing of AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 GPU video cards, leading to speculation about a price cut to make the model more attractive versus NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.

The Radeon RX Vega 56 can now be found in Europe for 269EUR and in the US for $279.99.

The rumored launch pricing of the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is $279.
