Intel seen cutting CPU prices in 2H 2020

Posted on Tuesday, January 21 2020 @ 11:44:28 CET by

DigiTimes heard from sources at PC makers that Intel is expected to cut its processor prices in the second half of the year.

For many years, the chip giant was the dominant force in the x86 market as AMD couldn't compete with Intel's offerings. Since the arrival of the first Zen-based processors, this is changing and we're seeing a now competitive landscape.

PC makers believe Intel will cut prices to defend its market dominance.
